FULLY WATERPROOF with TAPED SEAMS: Combining a traditional wet wax fabric and technical production skills, including fully taped seams, the Oates is a highly waterproof baseball style cap. Forget the cheap materials seen in less exclusive caps, the wet wax cotton used in the Oates is more often seen in high end jackets and develops character with age.

EASY CARE and TRAVEL FRIENDLY: This timeless cap can be easily surface cleaned with a clothes brush or damp cloth. Strong and durable it is easily stored or packed. The 6cm (2 and 3/8 inch) pre-curved peak ensures your eyes are protected whatever the conditions.

EXTRA DEEP: As a hat specialist we appreciate that no head is like another. In particular we know larger head sizes struggle to find a truly comfortable baseball. Therefore, we made the Oates available in both a standard and an extra deep fit.

United Kingdom - Free standard delivery via Royal Mail is offered on all hats to UK destinations.  Standard delivery normally takes 2-4 days. Next working day delivery is also available at checkout.

EU - Free Standard Delivery is offered on all hats to EU countries.  Normally we will send European deliveries with DPD or a local courier on a fully tracked service.  Delivery times vary from country to country - for most destinations it will be 3-7 days from ordering.  We pay all import duties, taxes and VAT for our EU customers.

USA - Free Standard Delivery:  In the USA delivery is free on all hats.  Normally we will send US deliveries with USPS on a fully tracked service.  Delivery times vary - for most destinations it will be 3-7 days from ordering.  An Express USA (2-4 day) delivery service is also available at checkout.  Orders below $900 do not normally attract import duty or taxes.

Rest of the World - If you would like to order from elsewhere, the cost will be displayed as you go through the checkout process. Please be aware, if you are ordering for delivery outside the UK, EU or USA you may need to pay customs duties or import taxes.

We know that finding the right hat can be difficult and getting that perfect fit is important.  So we are committed to being flexible when it comes to returns and exchanges.  If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, you can return it (within 90 days of receipt) for an exchange or full refund.

If you are not sure what your hat size is, please follow these simple instructions to find your size.

Measure your head at the level you would want the hat to sit at when you are wearing it.  This can vary a little according to your personal preference, but normally it would be across the middle of the forehead, pass a thumb’s width above your ears and around the widest part of the back of your head. 

Use a tape measure or a piece of string to find your size in centimetres.

Once you have the measurement in centimetres, this should be the hat size for you.  You may wish to move up or down one size if you prefer a particularly loose or tight fit.
